Remember the old MSD (Microsoft Diagnostics) utility that shipped with DOS? Want to know what happened to it? In NT, it became WINMSD.EXE. You’ll find it in your WinntSystem32 folder. This Windows NT version of MSD will provide you with all the information you used to get from MSD.
You can run WINMSD to find out what version of BIOS your computer runs, what kind of display you’re using, and information about your disk drives and memory. And best of all, it doesn’t have to run in a DOS window.
